Based in the West Midlands, we have 6 depots, operate 600 vehicles and employ over 900 staff for our Ring and Ride service, home-to-school contracts and igo bus routes.

Depot Supervisors

We've vacancies for Depot Supervisors based at our East and North Birmingham depots.

The role requires the successful candidate to work on a shift basis reporting to the Deputy Manager. You will have responsibility for effectively and efficiently supporting and controlling the daily operational systems within our Ring and Ride Service, igo bus services and education transport provided within the Depot.

A flexible approach is required to manage the variety of tasks involved in the role including customer enquiries, ensuring trips are completed for the shift, radio contact with drivers, daily driver operational procedures, security procedures for opening and closing the premises and providing cover when necessary.

The successful applicant must demonstrate strong administrative and computer skills, organisational ability with a pro-active approach to problem solving and taking the initiative to resolve work issues with minimum supervision. A clean driving licence with category D1 and an enhanced DBS check is required for the role.

Hours are 38.75 per week, working 5 days out of 7 on a shift rota Monday to Sunday.

Staffordshire Connect Driver

Based at our Wolverhampton Depot, we require a driver for our dial-a-ride service we operate on behalf of Staffordshire County Council.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of driving, assisting passengers (including wheelchair users) to board and exit the vehicle and to collect cash fares.

You will also operate two school journeys per day, before and after Staffordshire Connect duties.

Applicants by law must have driving experience and a clean driving licence with category D1 or a PCV licence. A Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required as you will be working with children.

Our training is exceptional. As a valued member of our staff, all eligible employees will be supported in gaining an NVQ level 2 qualification.

You should be adaptable and be able to follow standard operating systems, appreciating the needs of our young passengers. A working knowledge of the South Staffs area would be beneficial.

We offer free uniform, pro-rata holiday pay, plus benefits.

The working hours are 30 hours a week, working Monday to Saturday.

Trustee/non-Executive Director

ATG is looking to appoint new trustees/non-executive directors to the board of ATG Contract Services Limited.

We are seeking to appoint new trustees/directors with the following qualifications, skills and experience to this charitable company:

  • Public Sector experience
  • Transport Knowledge

We need strategic thinkers who can apply independent judgement to speak their minds and work effectively on a board with the other trustees / non-executive directors. The commitment is one day per month and allowable expenses will be met.

Home-to-school drivers (22½-25hrs per week)

You'll provide a vital role to passengers with special needs who depend on our services to get from home to school.

Category D or D1 on your driving licence is essential and we will train you to NVQ Level 2 in Road Passenger Vehicle Driving.
 

Qualified bus drivers

Over the past three years, our igo operation has grown at a rapid pace. In order to keep this momento going, we're always looking for qualified PCV drivers that are prepared to go the extra mile when dealing with our passengers.
